Los Angeles: Whitley Heights Neighborhood Tour

An amazing historic neighborhood in Hollywood. Above Franlkin and between Highland and Cahuenga. This hood is actually just above my last walking photo tour on Yucca Corridor. The area has a real European charm to it. Here are some maps: Live Local Map and for our apple users, here is Google Maps

Something rare in this neighborhood: a front yard!

Nothing goes better with natural disasters then stilts!

Most of the houses don't use their garages for cars, as the modern car is a bit larger then what was around in the 1920's

Though, all the garage doors had unique designs on them.

All of these homes have amazing views, but I couldn't see it. I got these photos from climbing up a fence.

Many of the houses had a front door that opened directly onto the street.

Is this Mediterranean or what?

I love stairs! These stairs were built originally so that homeowners could quickly walk down and catch a Pacific Electric trolley.

Very small streets

Whitley Heights does have some apartment buildings, but I didnÂ't focus on them much

This one is being refurbished
