St. Louis, 2006

Taken during the same trip as the Milwaukee visit (and the Chicago, New Orleans and Texas visit, but those are still on my HD ) are these St. Louis shots. I hope you like them, they're pretty ordinary, but I haven't seen too many StL shots come by, so they may be relatively 'new' for some people, if not, then my bad

Milwaukee, WI (2006)

I posted this in the Dutch section, but did not want to keep these images from the international folks around the forums, as I think Milwaukee is not a city that gets photographed very often. I mostly took pictures of the Museum since my time there was very limited. Enjoy, and don't hesitate to give me comments or feedback, that's what I strive for!

Oh, and you can check www.pbase.com/th0m/1 for these images in galleryform with EXIF, as well as post comments there (or leave a guestbook entry, it makes me look good )

Oh and before anyone asks, the reason I made most images B/W is because the sky was ver overcast that day, and the colors just didn't add anything to the frame

Dundas, Ontario: suburb of Hamilton

Dundas, Ontario
Historic town of 25,000, western suburb of Hamilton, setting for numerous movies and TV shows (see last nine photos).

**EDIT** Also added night photos at bottom

First we go downtown. Dundas has a large and healthy downtown and is the most upscale shopping district in Hamilton.

The Old Post Office

Lawn Bowling at Dundas Driving Park

School with separate boys and girls entrys

An old Schoolhouse still in use

St. Augustine Catholic School

St. Paul's United Church

Dundas Town Hall

The core of Dundas is pretty dense, there are many low- and mid-rise apartments and condos.

More condos being built

The tallest building in Dundas (18 floors) has Native American style art on the side

St. Joseph's Villa Long Term Care Facility

Dundas has many beautiful old homes.

Hamilton's skyline as seen from Dundas

Hollywood meets Dundas

Dundas makes a good setting for filming movies and TV shows. Film crews can be seen here every week. There was some filming going on while I was taking these pictures.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me when they made downtown look like the 70's.
I did have it a couple months ago when Dundas stepped back in time to the 1940's. Note the fake storefronts. They build this stuff and tear it down within a few days.
