Taipei 101 - viewing deck, mall, expo hall

Taipei 101 Tower (currently world's tallest tower) is shaped like segments of the bamboo. There is a giant metal ball at the top, it acts as a counterweight during earthquake. In 2002, an earthquake struck when construction reached the 79th floor...2 of its 4 cranes came crashing down, several loss of life.




At the foot of the tower is a shopping mall...101 Mall.
