Part IX
After more than a week exploring Paris we decided to take a
break from the tumultuous city life and decided to go for a walk in
the Countryside.
so we took the first train heading west from Gare du St. Lazare
and spent the whole day tramping around between fields,
streams, desolated roads, hay covered hills, ridges above the
seine valley, forest trails, scary ancient towns with funny names,
rural drug dealers and angry dogs, the route was from the town
of Mantes la-Jolie, some 50 or 60 km from Paris to Giverny, the
famous town were Monet used to live.

This hike made us become aware of the importance of using a Compass.
after this day i always take a compass with me, anywere..
that's becuase we were walking 3km in this forest before we
realized we were going in the wrong direction..
so we were walking down the highway..

a french dog, with a mustage. for some reason each and every
dog we went by barked on us..

In the evening we went to the near town Vernon to take the
train back, all the local kids tried to sell us weed or though we
might sell them some..
