The parks around West Lake are very serene, with a lot of stone paths, flowers, trees, and openings to the water.
A cruise on West Lake is a must if you visit Hangzhou. Interestingly, these boats run on electricity to keep the lake clean, and they barely make a sound.
Of course, you can tour the lake the traditional way.
Hangzhou doesn't have much of a skyline for a Chinese city.
I turned my head around and the sun was setting on this warm autumn day.
Hangzhou does have a number of skyscrapers though.
My 5-star hotel that night - so good that the bathroom wall was made of glass and I had to kick the girls out when I was in it ... and vice versa.
