Hamburg, district Barmbek-Nord

I've made a phototour through the district I live in. The photos are not so spectacular and the district is not a tourist place. But first some Info on the district:
With ca. 9.000 inhabitants/km² Barmbek-Nord belongs to the denser districts in Hamburg. Most of Barmbek-Nord was built in the 1920's and 30's, when there was a huge shortage in affordable flats in Hamburg. In the brickstone buildings - which dominate Barmbek-Nord - lived mostly blue-collar worker and clerk families . In WW2 the district was heavily bombed and there are still some gaps visible, because the postwar buildings are too low (1 or 2-story instead of 4-6 story). Nowadays Barmbek-Nord is relatively popular for students, apprentices and other people with low income (among them many immigrants) because the district is well connected to the public transport system (served by 1 metro-like commuter rail, 2 metros and busses), rents are among the lowest in Hamburg, the flats are small and the district still offers plenty of quiet places.
There are some more districts and neighbourhoods in Hamburg which are dominated by brickstone.
