so i escaped winter and flew to vancouver a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the lunar new year with my girlfriend's family. it was strange to suddenly be able to wear a spring jacket again and sit outdoors at a cafe, let alone sit next to the beach while people rollerbladed behind me. all of this without leaving the country. for a canadian this is a strange thing indeed.

it almost made me want to move there! of course, then i remember how wonderful montreal is when the snow melts. maybe i can live in vancouver for half the year.

alas, on the first day of my trip my camera broke. i can't turn it on anymore. luckily i was able to use my girlfriend's camera but still, it's not the same. i miss my wide angle. sorry.
