Detroit - October PhotoTour, Part 1

Last weekend I was in the D-DOT seeing a Foo Fighters/Weezer concert at the Joe Louis Arena and eating and living it up in Greektown and taking some pictures as well! These pictures were taken in the late afternoon/early evening on October 7, last Friday.

Starting in downtown Windsor, gonna get on the tunnel bus...

Starting off, a few shots of Greektown's buildings, businesses, and architecture!

I love trying new restaurants in Detroit, wanted to try Chicago-Style Pizza in Detroit at the Pizza Papalis taverna. Man it was awesome!

That is what Chicago-Style Pizza looks like. My mouth is watering over that!

Continuing our venture through Greektown...

The name says it all folks!

Atheneum Suite Hotel

Greektown Casino

The People Mover approaching the Greektown station, this must the busiest of all the stations. This is one reason I am glad Greektown Casino and future HOTEL is staying where it is.

Looking up at the Cadillac Tower...

Now sneaking into downtown in the early evening... forgive if the night shots aren't good. I don't have a tripod. Penobscot and Court House in early evening.

Compuware and the Hard Rock Cafe

RenCen

The Kennedy Block under construction

The beautiful fountain in Campus Martius Park downtown, with Au Bon Pain behind it.

Looking up...at the beautiful Guardian Building

The Spirit of Detroit...

RenCen again...

More looking up shots taken from Hart Plaza...

My best nightshot of Detroit, I think... from Hart Plaza

Looking across at Windsor...

The Ambassador Bridge at night, nice sight!

The beautiful looking promenade on the riverfront

Tried to get a Penobscot Shot... looks awesome at night, too, but blurry, problems when you don't have a tripod...

Beloved Cobo Arena

We've arrived at the Joe to see Foo Fighters and Weezer!

As a bonus, you're gonna see both bands and the atmosphere in the Joe during the awesome concert...

Weezer on stage

Now the Foos. Dave Grohl was looking rugged and good. He put on an awesome show, as did the rest of the band and Weezer!
