Dundas, Ontario: suburb of Hamilton

Dundas, Ontario
Historic town of 25,000, western suburb of Hamilton, setting for numerous movies and TV shows (see last nine photos).

**EDIT** Also added night photos at bottom

First we go downtown. Dundas has a large and healthy downtown and is the most upscale shopping district in Hamilton.

The core of Dundas is pretty dense, there are many low- and mid-rise apartments and condos.

Dundas has many beautiful old homes.

Hollywood meets Dundas

Dundas makes a good setting for filming movies and TV shows. Film crews can be seen here every week. There was some filming going on while I was taking these pictures.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me when they made downtown look like the 70's.
I did have it a couple months ago when Dundas stepped back in time to the 1940's. Note the fake storefronts. They build this stuff and tear it down within a few days.
