>> ONE BIG TRIP >> Chapter 2. This is Beijing, China.

Time for the second chapter in this huge series of photos. We've done Russia and Mongolia so far. I spent just a little over a week in those two countries combined. The next country I was about to visit got to see a lot more of me. A lot more.

China.
This huge country have made a big impact on me. There's something very special about it - even though it has become very westernized in recent years, it still somehow has been able to maintain its very own culture and values in a rich way. It is the oldest civilization that still exist on this planet.
Other countries have changed names, culture, boundaries and languages - China has been China for 2000 years.
What China was then - China still is.

the sound of beijing

Leaving Ulaan Baatar in early morning.

Gobi Desert. It may look hot, but we're still talking below minus 40 here.

Dynastic Beijing.

Hustle and bustle.

Oh yeah. We're in China now. Skyscrapers. Everywhere.

And old Chinese stuff... of course.

Shopping.

Daddy himself.

Sell-outs...this is fucking inside the Forbidden City.

Let's all go this way.

Subway.

Temple of Heaven.

Check out that behind. Hot damn!

Another day at work.

Climbing the wall.

Abyss-like exposure.

Overlooking his empire.

Bridge to heaven.

This area reminded me of both Moscow and Ulaan Baatar, for some reason.

Love it.

Beijing is a mix of bustling market streets and huge commie-roads like this.

The Forbidden City is not only about temples. They have a nice park in the middle as well.

Weather was shite when we visited the wall. Cool experience nonetheless.

Group-pic.

Heil!

Shopping street at nite.

Commiescape.

Himmelska Fridens Torg - in English that would be "Square of Heavenly Peace", or something.

Beijing has very nice buses.

Die mauer.

Two down. Two to go.

Dusk.

Forbidden City.

Therein lies Mao.

That big square again.

Two years to go.

This is Beijing.
I'm heading south in a couple of days. Tag along. >
