It was a fairly gloomy day walking around in Central London, but with the cloudy mode set, the pictures didn't turn out too bad.
The bus from Oxford dropped us off near Victoria Station, where I walked a few blocks to Buckingham Palace. I've been there way too many times. I don't know why I went that way again. Force of habit I guess ...
This time, I tried to notice and photograph some of the architectural details in the area.
My destination was Parliament, so I walked along some of the side streets hoping to get a glimpse of something unique. Very soon I realize I walked along the same street going the other way on my first visit to London in 1997.
While it was fairly busy around Parliament and Westminster Abbey, it was quiet a few blocks away.
Nelson's Column is covered up for some work, but you can make out what it looks like from the covering.
Now off to another random bus ride!
There was a major accident down the street near Holborn as a bus crashed into a light fixture. So I got off and walked instead.
