GLASGOW [1] I'm in Scotland!

I dropped into Glasgow to visit fellow Hong Kong forumer vvill, whom I haven't seen for about 3 years. I've never been to Scotland before, and it took a bit of adjusting to understand my way through the Scottish accent. The weather turned a little darker for the few days I was there though. However, I didn't mind so much as long as it didn't rain. It was a wonderful trip. vvill's place was a luxurious 5-star hotel. I wish my place here in New York is as nice.

The walking tour begins at this interesting hotel just across from the city's main railway station. Too bad I flew in late the night before. They had good specials going to Prestwick to connect with Ryanair, but I missed the last train into the city.

My Scottish breakfast consisted of a simple raisin fruit toast. I think it was only 50p - thanks to vvill for treating me! Prices in Glasgow were more 'normal' compared to ultra-expensive London.

Heading east, there are a number of newer residential buildings that look quite bold and innovative.

Yes, there are double decker buses in Glasgow as well.

The blue skies did pop out for a little bit, much to my surprise.

I'm in the process of getting my Glasgow galleries up and running on my website. I took too many photos once again. I should have a link up and running when I post my next part.
