Charleston, South Carolina - old school colonial American beauty

here's Charleston, unlike last time (downtown pics here houses, hoods and bridges here ) i had great weather this trip

and if you're wondering in some shots, "where's all the people?"
my friend i was staying with had to go to work, and his townhouse was under rennovation, so i went to downtown early
(and got lots of odd looks from bums, many of them still drinking from brown bags.)

anyway, pics are out of order; if you want guided tours, check out the old threads

infiltration of the Francis Marion Hotel got me up to the 9th floor...

i thought i was seeing things, or back in Britain when i saw this

two of my hobbies combined; photography and military history

i figured the USS Yorktown would offer some nice views of the old-school skyline, plus one of my local friends had never been, so we went aboard

THA BRIDGE IS OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!

night pics coming soon
